I have a laptop with two 3Com 3C589 PCMCIA Ethernet cards running GNATBox Light. I can't get either one to get link. The configuration report shows both interfaces (Protected and External) in a State of up.
The hardware report also shows zp0 and zp1 with the right MAC addresses as well as irq, memory, and IO/MEM settings. I also get these messages: ze: pcmcia slot 0: 3Com Corporation~3C589~TP/BNC LAN Card Ver. 2a~000002" ze: pcmcia slot 1: 3Com Corporation~3C589D~TP/BNC LAN Card Ver. 2a~000002" I'm at a loss why the system would seem to think everything is configured OK and "up", but I cant even get a link light. I know the cables are OK because I can swing them from working PCs. Any help or ideas to pursue?
