I think you misunderstood what I was saying. I was saying that with your current
setup (the incorrect proxy server settings) the GB thinks you are trying to
establish a connection with the web interface only and not trying to go through
the GB to the Internet. Therefore the GB didn't see a need to make the dial-up
connection to get you on the Internet. That is why you were getting the error
message AND the GB was never dialing.
When you correct your proxy settings the requests will go to the GB and, knowing
that the requests require a connection to the external network (Internet), it
will now make the dial-up connection. That is what I was trying to say. Sorry
for the confusion.
