I'm using my Gnatbox as a connection point for my SOHO cable modem connection, I haven't done much with the default configuration and I'm seeing some REALLY strange things...
Has anyone seen anything like this.... I will have a connection on the IP address provided from the Cable company for a few hours then, I lose connection - I run a ping from within the menu system on the gnatbox, to the defined default gateway and I get no replies. BUT If I sniff the connection, place a sniffer between the gnatbox and the cable modem, I see the Ping request AND the reply!!! But the gnatbox, still insists "0" replies. They don't show in the log either. Now sometimes I can reboot the gnatbox and the problem of lost connections goes away - I think this is fixing the symptom and not the real problem.
