Because GBAdmin makes it *VERY* easy to save a copy of your configuration
before you change it, so if something goes wrong you can restore it to
the way it was before.

It also makes it easy to save a copy of the configuration after you
change it, so that you always have an up-to-the second backup copy
of your configuration in case the GNAT Box floppy is damaged.

Finally, if you administrate more than one GNAT Box, it makes it easy
to copy sections of configuration that are the same from box to box.

I have been struggling with the question of why I might want to use GBAdmin
over the web interface. Is there a clear advantage that I am missing? So
far the only distinction I have noted is that I prefer the web interface as
it's authorization does not need to be refreshed. I can therefore ponder
the meaning of life for an hour or two, make a new change and not be told my
connection has timed out.

BTW - I am aware that GBAdmin will encrypt the connection. That is an
excellent feature which I would use for off net management. I haven't felt
compelled to use it yet for local management.

Just curious,
Mike Benedict
