OK, I know everyone is waiting for version 2.2. It has taken more time
than we thought but I think current GNAT Box users will be pleased with the
enhancements.
Here is the situation:
GNAT Box 2.2 has an encryption component (the network connection between
GBAdmin and the GNAT Box is encrypted). So we must get export approval
from the US government before we can export it. We are currently waiting
on this approval. We are suppose to be on the "fast track" approval
schedule since the encryption only involves system data and not user
encrypted data.
We have built a version that does not use encryption but we don't want to
release this version and create a great deal of confusion when the
encrypted version is released.
On Monday the User's Guide in PDF for version 2.2 will be put up on the ftp
server so you can download it and start to read about the new version if
you wish.
I know there has been a long delay but I am confident that version 2.2 will
be out very soon.
