I cant say Ive tried to run the Gnatbox on a P166, but generally, the performance has been great. We've got a cable internet connection and depending how you count, a couple hundred users behind the gnatbox. I seem to recall that some of the 3com nics were funky as well. If youre comfortable with building a system from parts, build a new system. Get good PCI nics (Ive had really good luck with Netgear FA310TX. They use a DEC Tulip clone chipset.) a AMD motherboard (we used a Tyan S2390), a cheap Duron and you should be off to the races for something like $300. > I guess what I am wondering is, do I need to go to the Gnatbox > Hardware solution for better performance? What the GB1000 buys you is a nice appliance like package. The GB flash gives you the same capabilities (give or take the HA option), but you provide the hardware. If youre up to some hardware fiddling, I think the GBflash is a better deal. Joe Matuscak Rohrer Corporation 717 Seville Road Wadsworth, Ohio 44281 (330)335-1541 [EMAIL PROTECTED]
