Hi, We've had the problem on 2 of our servers. In the first case we were running 3.0.1 when it started freezing, we then upgraded to 3.0.3 with it still hanging ever half hour or so.
In the end it turns out that there was a corruption in the firewall config. Rebuilding the firewall from scratch resolved it. The second time we had this problem, the situation was the same as yours - came in one day and the box has frozen.
