Hello All,

I am attempting to use GB Lite as an IP Pass Through router behind GB Pro
on its PSN interface, also in IP Pass Through. The reason for running in
Pass Through mode is to allow a server connected to the GB Lite PRO
interface to run on its true Internet IP address to alleviate difficulties
with this server when it is NATed.

Not understanding the nuances of Pass Through yet and being new to
networking in general (GB docs could be more helpful in this respect), I
have some questions regarding this setup.

1) It's my understanding that the Pass Through feature is available
mainly to accommodate downstream routers. Is the GB Lite box running as a
router a reasonable approach to the problem or is there an arrangement that
would not require the extra router box?

2) Do I need to use valid Internet IP's on the network between the GB
Pro PSN interface and GB Lite EXT interface or can I assign internal-only,
non Internet IP's (class C, 192.168.x.x addresses in my case)?

3) Do I need to assign static route(s) in addition to assignment of Pass
Through host/networks and specification of Pass Through filters?

4) If the router on the PSN is required, is there some better solution
than a GB Lite box with its number of hosts/connections limitations?

Thank you for your help
