Dear list participants I am currently using a GB-100 at my office and GBPro at my home and can successfully VPN between the two accross a DSL link. The problem comes up when I try and initalize the VPN tunnel. If I try to ping a host on the office network (exchange server or domain controller) the pings time out! However, if I point my browser to the external interface of the GB100 (at the office) and then ping the domain controller I get successful pings and can then log into the exchange server. Once the VPN is initalized in this manner I can reach resources on my home network from the office and vice-versa.
However, I can not initialize the VPN from the office using this procedure, it only works from home. So my question is why and how do I make sure the VPN is sustained for longer periods of time? Are there timeout controls that we can extend? Please help! Thanks in advance (for this and all of the other information I have read and followed over the last few month's)! MIchael Pease
