In Australia we have a cable Internet provider called Big Pond. I set up
Gnatbox and got it all working with static addresses. BUT.....
Bigpond require that you use DHCP. I set the Gnatbox up for DHCP on the
external interface. This is picking up the address OK. BUT......
Bigpond has a Windows APP you must use to authenticate, they say you must
have a response to 'heartbeat' packets on UDP 5050 and 5055.
So I create a tunnel to a Windows machine running the APP, with static
addresses we can authenticate with the Windows APP and we are on the Net,
with DHCP it does not.

When I run the config check, all is OK except it says that the default
route is not set "hopefully DHCP will set it".

It is important to note that before Authentication, we can resolve names to
addresses as the Bigpond DNS is always available. So if we ping www.gta.com
we will get the address but no response on the ping until we Login.

Questions:
Is there any way I can view the default route on the Gnat when operating
under DHCP?

There is a Unix version of the authentication APP - I don't suppose there
is a way of getting this on the GnatBox (didn't think so).

Can anyone seen anything stupid I have missed?

Thanks and Regards,
Justin
