I think that the users that *HATE* off topic messages were pretty thoroughly outvoted a few weeks ago by those of us who think that any discussion about things that might help improve security has a place here.
I'm guessing that there are probably enough people interested in this topic to at least warrant a summary posting, if not open discussion.
