I mentioned this in a note to Larry, but I want to say it
here where everyone can "hear" it.

I don't in any way, shape, or form blame GTA or GNAT Box
for this. As has been noted a few times in the discussion,
there was originally a reason why the filters were created
that way, and it's my own fault for not being careful enough.

I'm glad that GTA is making this change, though. I think
it will make GNAT Box just a little more proof against
idiots like me :)

FYI, for the upcoming release we have changed the rules on how
default filtes are created. If a tunnel is created and the
"allow all" option is not selected, a disabled accept all
remote access filter will be created.

As somebody mentioned before, the old default filters were created to
allow new users to quickly get their GNAT Box up and running. It
was also envisoned that the default filter would be a good starting
point for editing.

The old default filter predated the "allow all" tunnel option
and the disable filter option. Hopefully the new default filters
will meet the needs of experienced and new GNAT Box users alike.

Larry
