I have a small problem using my ftp server since moving it to the PSN. I created an alias ip address on the external network I then created an inbound tunnel pointing to the ip address of the ftp server on the PSN. I also created a remote filter to allow access from all interfaces to the server via port 21.
Here is the problem: I can use a ftp client such as ws_ftp and connect to the server and download files I can also put the url ftp://ftp.etbu.edu in a web browser and get to the folders to download the files. What I can't do is click on the link off our University web site that points directly to a file such as: ftp://ftp.etbu.edu/Windows95/Ws_ftp.exe It times out. The log file shows to allow the connection via port 21 but after a while it gives me the page not found error in the browser. As long as the ftp server was not on the PSN, the link worked fine. Any help would be appreciated... BTW, If you try the link without having one of our ip addresses, the router will not let you to the PSN. Thanks, Randy Haley Director of Networking ETBU
