It seems like a valid question to me. Why can't you have SNMP and use
remote access filters to only allow secured hosts to connect to it? Isn't
that the same way most other information services are run?
SNMP is a very attractive option because most people like to use tools
similar to MRTG to measure systems/network performance.
What am I missing here?
