I maintain two GNATBox's, one locally (GB-Flash Version: 3.2.5s) and one
at our Co-Lo facility (GNAT Box Version: 3.0.3), the local GB-Flash is
a new installation. Since installing the Flash version my users have
been having FTP problems, we build and host web sites for customers at
our Co-Lo facility and my users often download or upload whole sites.
The problem we see is a time out issue our server will stop responding
for a certain amount of time and the ftp sessions are closed, midpoint
through the file transfer, not closed by the server just arbitrarily
closed.

We have Macintosh clients and Windows clients, using a variety of ftp
client software, the problem is intermittent but across the board
effecting all clients. At first I tried debugging this issue at the
client level, exhausting that I moved on to debugging the server (MS
2000 IIS 5.0) I upped the timeouts to 10 minutes still no resolution.
Since the problem started after installing the GB-Flash, I now suspect
it could be the problem; we replaced an older GNAT Box Version: 3.0.3
with this new version of GB-Flash. I tested ftp from a remote location,
a location with no firewall and their was no ftp problem.

I have read the manual and it looks like I must change timeout values
via the "console interface" only. I usually like to do configurations
via the GBadmin.

Can you all give me any advice here? Do you think the default timeout
settings could be the source of my problem? Am I asking fro trouble
messing with these default settings?
