When you say, "cannot seem to access local network resources", are you referring to being locally connected to the same LAN that you have VPN configured for?
If so, then you need to disable the VPN Security profile when you are in the office (right click on the SafeNet icon, and click on "Disable Security Policy"), and enable it when you are out of the office (right click on the SafeNet icon, and click on "Enable Security Policy"). If not, then make sure that you have "Other Connections" set to "Non-secure", not "Secure" or "Block". Drop me a note back at let me know if this was any help.
