I imagine the delay is related, as I've seen the delay in the past as
well.... But the way Cybernot works is to download a nightly database.
The database is a list of IP addresses with a scoring system based on
content. The firewall compares the IP of the attempted connect to the
database and denies access as necessary.

My only complaint with Cybernot on the GB has been the fact you just
don't get to the site. In the past I used Cybernot with Raptor and we
customized the error html to state why the server was blocked. This was
useful in troubleshooting the reason a site was inaccessible.

Subject: [gb-users] GB1000 with CyberNot

I am running tests on our GB1000 with Cybernot turned on. I love the
filtering that it does. It is right on the money. Anyway, there is a
perceptible delay when accessing a web page that will take anywhere from
1-3
sec for the page to begin loading. I assume this is due to the GB
running
the request through CyberNot. Does anyone else experience this? If
not,
how can I remedy the situation?

Thanks,

Paul
