At a minimum these should be encoded on the back end with an identifier of some kind so that when I rename an alias it doesn't break everything!! I spent 20 minutes re-associating them in my inbound tunnels and static mappings this morning, after being forced to rename them to more appropriate names since I was forced to use the names instead of ip's.

In fact, it pretty much moves the functionality backwards efficiency wise. I have talked to others who agree, it would be nice if GTA could allow us the old method in the next minor release. They have switched the aliases to name only. This means when you reference an alias it is a dropdown list. I prefer to use IPs. I find myself having to flip back and forth to figure out what alias is what IP a lot. Some may say just name the alias the IP. This still doesn't work well since if you rename the alias it breaks things. Anyone that agrees with me should reply and maybe we can get the old IP alias method back. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To subscribe to the digest version first unsubscribe, then e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Archive of the last 1000 messages: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To subscribe to the digest version first unsubscribe, then e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Archive of the last 1000 messages: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]
