Thanks, paul. A company we are dealing with sell SnapGear firewall/routers as part of their services; they are not an IT services company but provide a service/product for the travel industry. The reason is that they use PPTP encryption on their NT servers and do not want to have users that connect to their server to install VPN services on their workstations but just have all encryption occur at the firewall. I had heard that PPTP was not that safe but could only find very old documents on this, yet I think MS would have cleaned up the protocol. Can any one point me to some documents that deal with security issues in PPTP? cheers, adrian > > >Hello, > > > >A question on PPTP support. > >Are any of the GTA products able to encrypt using > >PPTP? > > > >cheers, > > > >adrian > > > >------------------------------------------------------------------- > >-- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To > >subscribe to the digest version first unsubscribe, then > > e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > >For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > >Archive of the last 1000 messages: > > http://www.mail-archive.com/gb-users@;gta.com > > -------------------------------------------------------------------- > - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To subscribe > to the digest version first unsubscribe, then > e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Archive of the last 1000 messages: > http://www.mail-archive.com/gb-users@;gta.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To subscribe to the digest version first unsubscribe, then e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Archive of the last 1000 messages: http://www.mail-archive.com/gb-users@;gta.com
