Hi there

I have a query with regard to the RDNS Lookup option on the GNAT Box Mail
Proxy. Hoping somebody could help?
Firstly, please could somebody explain the technical workings of how the
GNAT box performs the RDNS lookup and what exactly is involved during this
process?

Would also greatly appreciate help from anybody who is familiar with what's
involved with regard to modifying DNS to overcome these RDNS Lookup mail
rejections.
E.g. If a legitimate host [i.e. customer] attempts to send messages to our
mail server, but because of poorly configured DNS finds their messages
bounce, what can I do to assist the third party in resolving so messages are
accepted [without switching off the RDNS Lookup option!]?

Thanks in advance
