Have you checked the default gateway on the Samba server is pointing to the
GB Flash unit?
If you have multiple gateways, you may have to add a route (route add
{VPN-net} MASK {VPN-mask} GB-Flash-IP).

Subject: [gb-users] Semaphore Timeout Error Using VPN
I have a VPN setup using the latest version of the Safenet client and
I'm connecting to a GB Flash based system running version 3.2.5. I am
able to connect fine and map Windows 2000 drive shares with the net use
command - no problem. When I attempt to map a drive on a Unix system
running Samba, I receive a "Semaphore Timeout Error" after about 15-20
seconds. I have not been successful at all mapping a drive to the Unix
box.
We have internal users mapping drives on the Unix server without any
problems. GTA tells me to check the Samba settings. I setup the VPN
with help from GTA so I think everything is configured correctly on the
VPN side. I have tried mapping drives using the IP address of the
server and also using an lmhosts file.
Anyone have any ideas what to check?
Thanks
