correction.. apparently setting mx directly to ip address is a no-no, should be by dns 
name, so youd need to set this up too.

 

another possible spanner in the works.., what does the proxy do if you are on the 
blacklist.. does it just ignore you or give you some kind of fatal error?

        Define a second public address on your gb and tunnel port 25 to your mail 
server from it.

        

        

        

        setup a ras filter for this IP to only allow connections from your affected 
clients IP blocks.

        

        

        

        Set a second or third MX record with a lower preference to the alternate IP on 
your Gnatbox.

        

        

        

        When the proxy ignores your clients, they'll then lookup the next mx record, 
which will let them through, but will still bounce any spam mails.

        

        

        

        

        

        Have to agree its hardly elegant but it may be a workaround.
