I'm observing similar behavior from my GB Flash (circa v3.2) production
setup and being setup GBWare/cflash configuration. Since the new GBWare
configuration was created from the GBFlash configuration, that isn't a
total surprise.

The problem surfaces in my verify configuration report saying that the MX
hosts I've specified in my DNS configuration weren't valid or couldn't be
found but since the values were being returned and used for inbound mail I
wasn't concerned in the GBFlash timeframe.

But in the process of setting up and testing the GBWare configuration, I
decided to try and fix this.

An early diagnostic step was to try and ping the names from the GnatBox
Admin function. Ping complains about a host not found. If I do the ping
from GBAdmin. I can open a CMD Window and have no problem pinging from
there, doing an NSLookup, etc.

I've tried various combinations of forwarders and external DNS settings to
no avail.

DNS works fine through the firewall from both my PRO and PSN networks
(those systems are configured to use my ISP as the forwarder, the same IPs
as used for the GnatBox DNS configuration).

I think I must have some kind of configuration issue, but I can't imagine
what I've missed.

Suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
  Dave Morris
