maybe i'm confused.  it sounds like you're saying that the ftp user is on 
the PSN, and is connecting to the ftp server not by the private IP, but the 
public (alias) address?  so it loops out and back into the gnatbox?  (e.g. 
loopback mode).  if so, this is probably why the addresses are being 
natted.  in any event, the hide source ip box would not have been the 
solution, since that masks the caller using the IP address on the outside 
of the tunnel, not the IP address the caller is behind.

I want to be able to see the actual ip address in my ftp logs of the person
who is logged into our ftp server. As of now, the interface ip address of
our PSN shows up as the actual address.

The ip address of my ftp server is an alias on my external network
interface.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
