The Anti-Virus and Anti-Spam offerings are components of Mail
Sentinel which only addresses email.

The impact of scanning services instream such as FTP and HTTP is
massive and without tremendous cpu power the firewall would
crawl. We've seen this on a competitor's firewall when enabling
these feature on FTP and HTTP traffic; the system was usable for
only a single user.

Also it doesn't make much sense to scan for Spam on anything but
email. Don't really know what Spam on telnet would be, (or for
that matter a virus).

Everyone,

Do GTA's Anti-Virus and Anti-Spam services filter all traffic (email,
web, ftp, telnet, etc.) going through the firewall or are they for just
email filtering?
