I must confess I don't much about cray pointers, but the model I work on
contains a bunch of them. Therefore I can't provide a reduced testcase of this,
but i'm attaching a code that proceduces the error.
The code is valid according to lahey source checker (if fixed form), and
compiles (and execute properly) with pgf90 and ifort compilers.
