I have created an autoconf test (GCC_CHECK_UNWIND_GETIPINFO) in trunk/config/unwind_ipinfo.m4 and the C++ runtime library is checking for HAVE_GETIPINFO before using it. I believe the un-ifdef'ed use of this function in the java library is the reason this PR is still open.
