It is not bogus.  -fprofile-arcs is one way of introducing .ctors stuff.
When building crtstuff, if it is supposed to work, you must avoid all options
that generate such stuff, whether it is -fprofile-arcs,
-fasynchronous-unwind-tables, -fexceptions, etc.
