[Bug c/34179] New: ice for legal code

I just tried to compile the Suse Linux package 
with the GNU C compiler version 4.3 snapshot 20071116

The compiler said

options.c:274: internal compiler error: verify_ssa failed
Please submit a full bug report,
with preprocessed source if appropriate.

Source code attached. Flag -O3 required.
