Same problem with g++:

tkoe...@gcc16:/tmp$ g++ hello.cc
tkoe...@gcc16:/tmp$ g++ -V4.3.3 hello.cc
/tmp/ccQtuMbq.o:(.eh_frame+0x12): undefined reference to `__gxx_personality_v0'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
