We could also add (as a separate patch) a change identical to what Apple uses
in their gcc which only triggers on the i[[3456789]]86-*-darwin* host and
target but this should be unnecessary after the config.guess change goes in.
After the config.guess change, it would only serve to idiot-proof configure for
the case of someone passing the i[[3456789]]86-*-darwin10 host on a Snow
Leopard machine that is actually running and generating x86_64 binaries (and
will be identified properly by the patched config.guess as
x86_64-apple-darwin10).
