in the compilation of eh_globals.cc: the i686-apple-darwin9 compiler does *not* produce any emutls refs (at m32 or m64) - but rather all the thread stuff is handled via pthread interfaces. -- http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=44146
