There is a difference between freezing the rest of the compiler and making reasonable adaptations to avoid unnecessary interface churn / cross-language linking issues. I intend to apply the approved patch to gcc-plugin.h on Wednesday (we are supposedly still in a trunk freeze right now, even though I have seen a few non-merge patches going in). -- http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=44459
