The failing test occured on a "quiet" state: i.e., terminal, safari, and xchat opened but not used. The tests run in a fraction of a second far away of the 300s timeout. BTW I did not find a way to run only the boehm test suite: if I make check in x86_64-apple-darwin10.7.0/boehm-gc, I get WARNING: could not find `runtest'
