Tried to reproduce this with:
pr84377-test.c:
extern _Float128 truncf128 (_Float128);

gcc version 7.3.1 20180130 (Red Hat 7.3.1-2) (GCC)
but it doesn't fail for me, does it for you? What does -march=native expand
for you (add -v and show the options passed to cc1)?
