Cf.p.34 of http://www.oracle.com/us/support/library/lifetime-support-hardware-301321.pdf > (not sure what the '2.' is about, I suppose Solaris 11 is really 2.11?) Before Solaris 7, the releases were called 2.x, thus the configure triplet.
