For now it tries to identify/eliminate with limited expanding work which isn't enough for complicate cases. I sent a patch to do IVOPTs a favor in vectorization, but didn't follow up. Without digging into the code, I am not sure if this is a similar issue. Will have a look this WE. Thanks
