Reproduces with a cross to m68k-linux-gnu compiling the shortened test case
with -O2 -m68060. A git bisect between 13.2.0 and 14.1.0 identified the
following commit as introducing the misbehaviour:

Possibly it just exposes a latent issue in the target code.
