I encountered a warning while using gcc-12.4 and filed the same at:-

The warning was not seen after reverting the following patch:-

Its been observed that the warning is not observed on the latest sources
(gcc-13 etc). Can you please let me know if any other dependent patch has to be
applied along with this fix to suppress the warning in gcc-12.4?
