Lack of reviewer bandwidth is part of the issue here I think. The other part is
GCC was in stage 3 (now stage 4 as of today) which meant bug fixes only. I am
not sure if this counted as a bug fix so I don't know what is in the minds of
the C++ front-end reviewers/maintainers minds here.
The other issue is you sent it a few days before Christmas which is a slow time
for reviewing and folks are out on vacation and such.

It depends. The best thing in this case is to ping the patch again.

I don't think it matters as it is more of a hint to others that you are working
on it and they should ping you and since you already posted a patch and that is
listed here folks should ping you anyways about it. but I will do that.
