OK, agreed.  Btw, on the SUSE side it would work w/o the AM_CPPFLAGS:

> ls -l /usr/include/libxml
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 14 Jan 22 14:13 /usr/include/libxml -> libxml2/libxml

but it hints at that eventually there was a libxml coexisting with libxml2?
