The code compiles with 15.2.1, 16.0.1 (pre-release),
and 17.0.0 20260424. I do not have 13.x or 14.x
installed so can test.
PS: "internal compiler error" means something
went horribly wrong. Thus, there should be no
expectation for an explanation, and technically
you got an error message.
