The > debug_base only exists in the test code. Actually no, that's wrong. The debug base is present in the real containers when compiling with _GLIBCXX_DEBUG. It's hard to reproduce the failure without the testsuite's __throw_allocator because it depends on a specific allocation failing. But it could happen.
