Apologies for the late response. We can do that, but I think otherwise also the compilation will fail with proper error message from the switch statement. So intead of ICE with assertion error here it would produce a compile time error message. The patch has been approved and upstreamed. I have tested with the configure command you had used, it should work fine now. Thanks.
