            Bug ID: 128181
           Summary: variably-modfified types in header
           Product: gcc
           Version: 17.0
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: P3
         Component: c++
          Assignee: unassigned at gcc dot gnu.org
          Reporter: uecker at gcc dot gnu.org
  Target Milestone: ---

Clang supports C's variably modified types also in C++ as an extension. In
particular, this would be very useful to be able to include C headers.

The enhancement request is to support such types at least in prototypes of the
form

int foo(int n, char buf[n]);

so that C headers using such syntax can be included in C++. The size expression
could simply be ignored.
