this is interesting. till now i always invoked a build with:

#!/bin/sh
jobs=$( grep -sc ^'processor' /proc/cpuinfo )
jobs=$(( $( cpu_count ) + 1 ))

make --jobs $jobs

so should i change that to -2 ?
