I'd actually vote to wait for the 6.3 release (6.2 is out already, right?). This is quite an invasive patch, and I'm afraid it could potentially break all kinds of stuff (even though I believe that Paul has prepared it very carefully). I think it's kind of important to have the release branches in a stable state and not risk too much there. Whoever wants a bleeding-edge gfortran, with all the latest features and fixes, should get a trunk build. Cheers, Janus
