It should just apply, it does not use anything "new".
I wouldn't expect to be difficult to cherry-pick at all. The question
is whether or not it's worth the time.
I've prioritized backporting code correctness issues and distro build
issues. Given this hits the aten operators, one could make a case
it's important enough to backport.
Regardless it'll be discussed in the patchwork meeting next week as it's
now on the tracker.
