Yes. Originally they wanted to use a completely anonymous pseudonym
associated with an anonymous email address. And they did indeed got an
assignment with the FSF to keep their pseudonym annonymous. Later they
did use their "corporate" identity/email address, still not using
their "real name", but their company has a corporate disclaimer on
file and obviously knows who they are. So that would imho be fine.

In general I think we have to assume good intent. If someone says
their identity is who they are then we have to accept that. The intent
is that they take "responsibility" for their contribution and don't
deliberately try to deceive (there is no fool proof way of knowing
that of course).
