 FWIW I mean to maintain non-BWX support, although the effort has been 
stuck on higher priority stuff.  For instance I haven't got to reposting 
the Linux kernel emulation parts, which need to go in first if we want to 
keep this going (unlike with the VAX backend where there's no choice, I'm 
not going to switch to NetBSD here).
